Al,

Tempering to about 200 ~ 220 deg centigrade should be about right [pale
yellow ~ pale staw colour].  The time / temperature rule is I hour per
linear inch but for thin sections apply the rule to the thicknes ie] for =
a
knife blade say 0.125 thick, time at temp would be 0.125 x 60 =3D =
7.5mins.

If you go for the sand bath method you must allow extra time for the =
sand to
come to temperature.

When you have decided what method to use I'm sure the listees would like =
to
know the results.
