Hi Jim just a reminder that I’m available for an aid station due to my knee I
won’t be skiing this year. Ideally stationed with Linnea. We have a truck and
planning to put up a heated shelter. :)

Working on that this morning. I will share with all soon. Still waiting for

Patrollers, with a lot of help this afternoon, we install four of the new
ribbon winches on the new power poles coming down snowfield. There also hooks
on the poles above the winches to attach the end of the ribbon from above.
Once the dust settles on the new start house, we can move a “lawn hose” reel
there to make the first gap. This should help a ton with recovery as the
lengths are much shorter.
The final winch on the pole nearest the finish of Nastar is going to need a
terminal end of bamboo to attach it to of course.
Also the gaps between will still need some possible bamboo for support to keep
the ribbon off the snow. I do not believe the winches will be able to “just
keep it taught”.
Thanks to all, also for the great support this weekend during the Glover Race.
Jim and the team
BTW the neighboring old power poles are departing this coming summer.
