Patrollers, Now that I am on Saturday afternoon, I would respectfully ask for
your help with both December 1, (OEC Test) and also December 8 (Division S and
T at Boyne Highlands.
I would gladly help anyone out with replacing you on your shift in return as
the season unfolds.
Thanks very much in advance for taking a look at your calendars.
Because of the shift sizes this season, if at all possible and it being
Saturday afternoon, replacing me with an Alpine Patroller would be huge plus.
Oh BTW you also get to be shift leader.
If we are lucky at least on the 1st, it will probably be only Snowfield.
The Plan for the week is to start making snow on Monday. Straight through the
week to get to Friday and opening day. Those new snow guns are just waiting to
do their magic.
Please remember your parka and your pack, are your lift ticket for when you are
signed in and patrolling. That includes Candidates once we get to that point
in the training too.
If you are going to "free ski or ride" you will need to get your pass and walk
upstairs and get a lift ticket. There is a ton of conversation about this new
part of the skiing and riding plan at Marquette Mountain. Of course Change is
not easily digested at times. The real deal is just this simple. We need to
be able to archive real daily skier and rider visit numbers. It is part of the
requirements from both the State of Michigan and also our Insurance Companies.
Frank has designed the upstairs so one computer station will be for Season Pass
holders exclusively, and others as available. Let along, we need to begin the
capture of demographics regarding days, volumes of guests, and times of usage,
( or at least arrival). The big boys do RFID, and maybe someday we can play in
that arena too. Today it is get a ticket which is the best we can do. If you
are asked about this change of process, please speak respectfully and
educationally to our guests.
