I think more like a 'bleed edge' cool kid...
I'd never buy a v1 of anything anymore... not after the first intel iMac years
ago. I always bought the 's' model iPhones as they had sorted the issues with
the hardware at that point...

I found "trendsetter" funny, when, just one short human generation ago, Macs
were running an obsolete OS on an obsolete CPU with funky port compatibility
and a problem with app availability.

Fwiw you may recall my recent question about how much I'd hate windows. The
verdict after a month of use is that, for what I do, which is almost strictly
web based anymore, it's fine. I was annoyed with pairing some BT headphones
but day to day it's fine.
Nevertheless I think I'm going to get one of these "trendsetting" M1 airbooks
on Black Friday and be a cool kid again.
