But I believe from what little I know, that MSP does follow a protocol. Whether the end user is aware of it or not, there's a certain amount of triggering goes on.

I'm sure we used to have something like it... You'd see something like:

#$# sound sound.wav | 100 | 0.0

Or something like that...

Anyways, if you can find me more info, no reason at all I couldn't look into it for you.

Cheers,

In most cases, you just download the sounds, put them in the appropriate sound folders, then MSP takes care of them without any triggers, just with the direction of the sounds folder.

Actually, I am not sure that MS he can be implemented was triggers. The idea is that sounds are sent from the mud server. You do not have to download sounds.

Hi,
I hadn't thought of MSP actually, but there's no reason it can't be implemented using triggers.

We're just finishing off the documentation, then version 1.0 will be ready for release. I'll be posting an announcement then.

I'm actually using MMC with Miriani as we speak, so it's all working swimmingly etc!

Thanks for showing an interest, I look forward to your feedback.

Cheers,

Hello,
I just subscribed after being reminded from the VipMud list, but I
heard about it originally on the Miriani boards.
I'm quite curious how this client will work and would be interested in
giving a beta a shot. Will this client support MSP? If so, there's a
number of muds i'd like to try the MSP support with.
