Paul – can you bring in the 3rd electrophone handset tomorrow, I think you have
it at home, and maybe have a look at the damaged one Ian refers to ?
I know where the spare transmitters are, I’ll look one out on Thursday. I’ve
got a few here which I will bring in as well.
Do we have any spare alloters as I think that one has been dodgy before. If
not maybe Ray can supply one.

Subject: [mkmcomms] Fault List
I was in at the weekend – trying to help herd the masses to preserve as much of
our equipment as possible… however a few things that will need attention this
week:
a.. Handset inside the large police box – it got dropped and the mouthpiece
came apart. I think nothing is broken but the insert got dented and I couldn’t
find the bag of replacements
b.. Headsets on the electrophone are in a poor state. Looks like someone
tried to repair by jamming a screw into one of them!
c.. Dial on the phone next to the exploded 700 series – dial is slow and
sticks
d.. Dial on the very old wall phone in the corner is too fast and hence
mis-dials
e.. Tape loop on dial a disc appears to be looped into places it shouldn’t
be!
f.. Strowger… one of the first selectors (line finders… apologies for the
terminology here!) appears not to work properly. Every time it tried to use it
the allotter (?) would light up. I just moved the jumper so it didn’t get
selected but it needs a proper fix
That should keep us busy!
See you Thursday.
Ian.
