I am retired from the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science where I was a
naturalist, outreach educator and conservation biologist. My interest in
nature began at an early age. I grew up in a rural setting where I
experienced the natural world on a daily basis. I am especially interested
in birds, herps, mammals, insects (especially pollinators), and
plants/plant communities.
My observations these days tend to be of local flora and fauna. I am
especially interested in documenting by photograph mammals and herps I
encounter around my place and in my county (Newton County) though I am
quite an amatuer when it comes to photography. Would love to observe a live
Long-tailed Weasel or a live Spotted Skunk anywhere in Mississippi.
