Why not use either the Yaesu or the Icom commands? Then it's compatable with all the remote control software.

I am proposing that we write a set of commands that can be used to tune and control the minima. Each command line starts with a letter, it is optionally followed by a digits and it ends with a new line. Some commands receive a response. The response can be in multiple lines. Every line starts with a letter followed by zero or more numbers separated by commas.

So, here is a tentative list:

Requests:
"s\n" : asks for the status of the transceiver. The status can be several lines of text until two repetitive new lines "\n\n" "t14200000\n" places the Minima in transmit mode at 14200KHz. If the frequency is not supplied, it transmits at the current frequency.
"r\n" puts the minima into receive mode at the current frequency
"r7040000\n" puts the minima to receive at 7.040 MHz
"f" fetches the current frequency
"x115420000\n" sets the internal crystal frequency to 115.42 MHz
"m\n" puts minima into morse code mode. the following characters are all sent out as morse until a new line (morse code doesn't have a newline!) "c1\n" puts out a carrier in tx mode (to tune-up etc. at the current frequency)
"c0\n" switches off the carrier.
"u1\n" upper side band
"u0\n" lower side band.

any more?
