I was trying to keep the design 'generic'. The trouble with software is that even an extra space in the code can completely throw a noob off. That's why I elected to have only universally available components rather than some simpler and cheaper options. For instance, a large quantity of nokkia 3310 display are available at a very low price. They are I2C compatibel too, methinks. The coding masters can fork the sketch and add/modify it to work with other displays, rotary encoders, etc. - f Sent from BlackBerry® on Airtel -----Original Message----- From: Eric Söderman <eric@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sender: minima-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Tue, 21 Jan 2014 12:29:10 To: <minima@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Reply-To: minima@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [minima] Re: PTT Schematic On ebay you can buy i2c adapters for LCD for 3-4 dollars. Could save some pins, but maybe introduce unwanted noise. I don´t know. Eric SA5BKE On Tue, Jan 21, 2014 at 12:20 PM, Steve VK2SJA <vk2sja@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I was thinking about this.
