Hi Bruce,
Sure thing! Please see my modest notes inserted in green font, below. I
understood ‘programs’ to indicate academic curriculum rather than, for example,
ZOOM or other virtual programing formats. Please correct me if I misunderstood
that bit.
All goodness to you as
Peace Continues,
Veronica

Subject: [midwestpainsociety] Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Programs
Under what conditions do you refer patients to interdisciplinary pain
rehabilitation programs?
The IIYT ethical statement: Yoga therapy is not, and does not, endeavor to be a
medical environment nor does the yoga therapist represent in any way the
medical profession, it’s training, expertise, or privileges. As a non-medical
adjunct, the yoga therapist, students, staff or faculty of IIYT must encourage
and recommend patients, clients or students seek medical advice to consult the
appropriate professionals for all medically related issues. IIYT faculty,
students or staff will not seek commission for referral of any student.
What programs do you use?
IIYT is an accredited academic program for certification and registration of
graduates. The program curriculum adheres to the academic and experiential
standards of the Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga
Therapists.
What are the outcomes?
Graduates of the IIYT program are eligible for registration with Yoga Alliance
as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 level of training (RYT 500) and with
Certification in Yoga Therapy (C-IAYT) from the International Association of
Yoga Therapists.
Sincerely,
Bruce
