I sent this to the KK Access list but thought I’d give it a shot here in case
someone has a thought.
In a previous thread, I was talking about having duplicate patch names in KK.
In the former case, one would load, the others would yield a “cannot Open
Plugin” message. That doesn’t make sense because these are NKI files.
A further development involves the inability to locate or load another Spitfire
product called Orchestral Grand. I have a path for it in my KK User side
Libraries in Preferences. The NKI loads and plays in Kontakt 6. I just now
tried loading the NKI file into KK by visually switching from Library to File
at the top of the KK UI and navigating to and selecting the Spitfire Audio
Orchestral Grand.NKI file. I got that cannot load plug-in message and I don’t
understand why. It’s been years since I touched this instrument but I’m
convinced I was once able to load this into KK. I wouldn’t use it otherwise.
I have several other non-NKS NKI files which will load from the User side of
KK. So, I’m confused.
