MicroWorld Project Brief :

Microworld is an Open Source Software that will help Microcredit and

Microfinance organizations to enter,maintain,manipulate and analyze the data


related to Self Help Groups.

I have outlined some roles in this mail. I would like each one of you to
please select the respective roles and reply to this thread.*

Chandramouli : Has asked for Rails Development and Design

Naveen : UI / UX for the project.

Project Goals:

* Management Information System for an MF organization
* Organize Self Help Group Data and Facilitate funtions like
  refunds,Lending,track Usage.
* Easy to Use Interface, with Minimal Training required
* Generate Various Reports, Graphs to represent the effectiveness of
  the SHGs.

Project RoadMap :

* Web Application to Manage Microcredit data
* Web Application to Manage Microfinance data
* Mobile Web Application to Enter data from Mobile Phone
* SaaS based Offering to Other Organizations

Roles and Responsibilites:

1. Functional : Understand Microfinance Domain,Develop lending models,
develop related formulae and impart functional knowledge to the team, and
help in creating Requirements.

2. Feature Development : Based on the functional requirements, create
featureset to be incorporated in the software.

3. Technical Architecture : Decide the best practices and technologies for
project.

4. Development : Develop features in decided technologies

5. Testing : Write and Run Unit tests for models and controllers,
integration tests for the application

6. UI / UX : User Interface and User Experience for making the apps easy to
use for larger set of users.

7. Content Writing, Updatation, Social Media : Handle,Update the website for
Content and Social Media Like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogs
