Hi all-
So the Ohio Local History Alliance meeting this week went well-a LOT of
information shared and my head is still spinning a bit as I review my notes.
One thing that did come out of it that I am sharing now (instead of at MHS
next meeting) is that there is a new staffer who is focusing on reaching out
to underserved communities. Between now and the February MHS meeting, can
everyone put on their thinking caps and put together a list of any groups
you think might fit this new project and bring it with you? We've all see
the conversations in different museum professional groups asking the
questions around "where is everybody?" and "where is the full historical
record?" and the like. The orgs you suggest don't necessarily need to be
historical societies, but perhaps orgs/groups WITH strong histories that
intersect.like Prince Hall Masons (just pulling one group).
