Two of us from Dinsmore wanted to attend the conference, but we have day camp
and another event going on that week.
I may still try to attend one day.

On Sunday, July 19, from noon to 5 pm at the National Underground Railroad
The second in a workshop series designed to assist museums in tackling
difficult community issues. Each workshop stands on its own-attend all or just
one! This workshop will center on ways that museums can use their positions of
trust to tackle stereotyping and mythology, in order to help their communities
engage in conversations such as the current contentious debate surrounding
sports team' mascots. This session will utilize the content and collections at
the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, which is about to open an
exhibit around the topic of sports team' mascots. 2015 Conference Guide .
