Hi all-

So we haven't had much luck moving forward the work of the other committees
(aside from Members').but let's try again.  Please be reply back with which
committee you would like to join for the 2017 year.  You can sign up for as
many as you want AND you can have other members of your institutions sign up
as well based on your org's needs and interests.  So for example, your ED
can be on Members' and your Communication person can be on Marketing.

There is also the WWI ad hoc committee (which I think the fates are upset
about b/c we  keep losing the list!!).so please also reply back in regards
to THAt and I PROMISE not to lose this one!

The goal in 2017 is to focus on actually moving forward some of those great
ideas we talk about.and talk about.and talk about.  So If you sign up for a
committee be prepared to meet in person at the start of each quarter and
then however often you all deem necessary beyond that.

So in addition to the committees below, please add "WWI ad hoc"

Committees

The membership shall create with a majority vote a standing committee of
this Consortium to fulfill a specific need.  The committee remains a
standing committee until the general membership decides otherwise.  A
majority of the committee shall constitute a quorum.  Every member
organization is requested to have at least one representative serving on at
least one committee.

Section 1.  Education / Outreach Committee.  The Education / Outreach
Committee shall work with the members of the Consortium to provide
guidelines and speakers for multi-disciplinary (STEM, language arts, etc.)
Social Studies state standard aligned programs for schools and educators in
the Greater Cincinnati Area and to promote our members to the overall local
history community.

Section 1b.  Special Events Sub-Committee.  The Special Events Committee
shall be responsible for planning and directing public events hosted by this
Consortium.

Section 2.  Member's Committee.  The Member's Committee shall make
arrangements for upcoming meetings and work with the other committees in
obtaining programs, speakers and professional development opportunities for
the Consortium. And work with the Vice-Chair to promote membership in the
consortium.

Section 3.  Marketing Committee.  The Marketing Committee is responsible for
effectively promoting the Consortium to all audiences that would be
interested in its mission and programs.  This includes, but is not limited
to, the general public, Pre-K-16 students, educators, media outlets and
policy makers. The Social Media Sub-Committee shall be responsible for
maintaining the website and all social media venues associated with the
Consortium and will post events and programs for members of the Consortium.

Section 4.  Nominating Committee.  A standing Nominating Committee of at
least three (3) members shall be appointed at the August meeting.  They
shall present their proposed slate of officers at the November meeting.

Section 5.  By-Laws Committee.  A standing By-Laws Committee shall be formed
in odd-number years to review the By-Laws and make any recommended changes
to the membership by the October meeting.  The Chairperson shall be the
chair of this committee.
