Hi folks
I am also using the digest, and like some others I am getting some clear
messages, some with stray exclamation or question marks, and the postings of
Tom and Elaine arriving as complete gobbledy-gook.
I use an iPhone and a MacBook so wondered if it was related to that. However,
I've also checked the messages on our Windows based laptop and it's the same,
so the problem doesn't appear to be at this end.
Good luck with trying to get it sorted, Tony! We are grateful to you for all
the work you put into this, which many of us find very helpful (even if we
don't post very often).

Perhaps my problems are caused by the digest version, but Elaine's
message was just a series of random letters from the alphabet and one
copy of Ian's message was fine and dandy but another (appended to a
different reply) contained two sets of three bold question marks.

Sorry if I am late to the topic, but I have chosen just to receive the
daily digest, and it has taken me another day to work out how to reply!
I seem to be having the same issues as Neil identified: some sort of
code instead of punctuation, and something undecipherable from Tom, and
now also from Elaine.

Anyone else having the kind of problems Neil and Wes have reported? I’ve no
idea why such things happen – it could be to do with different email clients or
formats. Perhaps those who have set up to receive the Digest might reset for
individual emails to see if that makes a difference. If we can collect a set
of data I can ask the Freelist admins what they think is going wrong.

I have had no problems. I did sign up for the Digest, but I also got the
