I think we let some Preachers proceed to Fully Accredited who really shouldn’t.
We are indeed too worried about upsetting people and this must stop. It’s not
just the Circuit who agrees to their becoming fully accredited, but any future
Circuit(s) they move to. Better a shortage of Preachers than having those who
are simply not up up it.

Indeed, the last preacher our church complained about was ordained
(supernumerary). Not his doctrine. He was just boring. Mind you, they seem
not to complain about useless LP’s. We have recently recognised a local
preacher who has never, in my experience, preached a half-competent sermon. I
keep out of LP training There would be too many arguments. Again, no
doctrinal problems, just completely unorganised. And the one who is on trial
now cannot be heard unless the PA system is working at full power. We are
just too worried about upsetting people.

preachers but to some ordained preachers too. If preaching is going to
remain the dominant form of communication in worship a lot more attention

would nice to have it communicated succinctly and well, and with a modicum
of insight.
