Torvala (Forest power) menelatirdil (Devoted Path Walker) faelhuornmellon
(Friend to the Huorns) has pale blonde hair. Her eyes are a deep indigo,
sometimes appearing almost black. Her skin is tanned with myriad small scars
typical to someone living out doors almost all the time. Her ears are the
expected elf points, and her eyebrows and facial structure matches. She's
tall, close to six feet thanks to her taller than average mother and elven
She wears low hard boots, brown pants and a tunic that seems to blend
together, and a green cloak that appears to blend into the woods around her.
She has an archer's rig on her left hand. Her quiver matches her clothes, as
does her pack. She's got a long sword in a scabbard on her left hip. She
spends down time making arrows, leatherworking various objects, or crafting
other items. She's a capable whittler.
Torvala is accompanied by her hawk, Jax. They seem to have a special
Torvala has a Meara friend who lets her ride him, named Naurheneb. (now er
HEN ebb) He's got golden brown fur with a more golden tail and mane and
amber eyes that glow at night. (His name means fire eyed) He's as fast as a
hawk, telepathic, and has a full understanding of the common tongue. His
eyes grant him the night vision of an elf.
Torvala doesn't talk much. Her favorite expression is "Sky and Sea". She
mistrusts words, looking for actions. She's said in the past, "I prefer the
company of animals over people, because animals don't tell lies." To this
end she has a black, liver, and white long-haired retriever bitch named Nara
and two draft horses named Farrow and Norda, but she tends to leave all
three of them at home when out adventuring. While at home Norda has thrown
several fine colts that the riders in the local hillman village value for
their temperament, fast trainability, and sturdy health. Nara seems like
half of a pair, and she still looks under things to find her lost mate.
Torvala has mellowed somewhat in the recent past, though she retains a deep
skepticism about words until proven by deeds.
