Shouldn’t this be brought specifically, to the Board’s attention?
Is this something we will initiate on our own or as a collective group with the
board’s suggestions and support?

It was my understanding the 2020 deadline was just to register in case you
had a claim and was not related to having the work done by that date? I

Does anyone know what is happening with the Kitec plumbing issue? I just
heard a CBC news report that the deadline for filing claims is January 9,
2020. If I understand the process correctly, we would need to have the work
done by then so we can submit the bill.
As some of you may know, our condo unit has already experienced an issue with
the Kitec plumbing. When our contractor was replacing the faucets in our
shower, a Kitec fitting started to leak in the ceiling overhead. When the
contractor opened up the ceiling and inspected the connection, it literally
fell apart in his hands. So this is not a theoretical problem.
I realize that the rebuilding of the common area is occupying most of our
attention, but we'd better not lose sight of the Kitec issue as well. We
need to get busy on replacing it this summer, or our next disaster might be a
flood.
