*Opportunity to collaborate in urban ecology and citizen outreach
initiative outside Bannerghatta National Park*
*The project has two aims:*
a) Research to better understand the urban context of forest-city
interactions locally. Data collection involves geo-spatial tools and
participatory field research.
b) Outreach initiatives to highlight cultural heritage across the Park's
fringe, along with programs to connect people of Bengaluru, especially
school kids and youngsters, to the marvellous urban ecosystem that exist
right at their backyard.
*Essentials:*
a) Proficiency in Kannada is essential.
b) Driving a two-wheeler is highly recommended.
*Please note:*a) The opportunity is best suited to those who prefer to work
independently, and can demonstrate some track record of running independent
field projects.
b) A hold in one or more of these areas is highly preferred: field
surveys, on-ground public campaigns (not digital), policy advocacy,
environmental education
c) Lastly I rephrase: this is not a full-time, office based employment, but
a collaboration. In fact, person will have full autonomy to decide her/his
schedule, workplace and timelines.
