I am requesting you to kindly share this mail.
I am a Ph.D. Scholar at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and currently
based in Bhopal. I am working on "Urban Tigers of Bhopal". I am looking for
passionate students who are interested to work and learning in the field of
ecology and wildlife.
The study is Bio-social conservation research trying to understand the
potential of wildlife conservation in the urban landscapes with a special
focus on Tiger presence and human-tiger interactions in and around Bhopal
city.
I have 2 vacancy where students need to assist me on
1) Social surveys to understand the perception of local communities
2) Data management of Camera traps installed to capture wildlife
3) Physical morphological study of hair remnant in Tiger scats using
microscope
Essential Criteria:
1) Graduation in any subject with good command of English
2) Based in Bhopal and know 2 wheeler driving with an authorized license
3) Good command on Ms-Excel and Ms-word
4) Ability to be actively and energetically involved in a field environment
with minimal facilities.
5) Minimum 2-3 month
6) Experience in atleast one of the above topics
On completion of internship period a letter of appreciation and a small
stipend will be provided.
