First national flamingo count- Greater and Lesser Flamingos!
on 23 and 24 February. Participants can choose any one day and fill the
forms below. They can choose the sites on the website or go to a site they
know for Flamingos.
Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) announces the first coordinated
Flamingo Count. Both Greater Flamingo _Phoenicopterus rosues_ and Lesser
Flamingo _Phoeniconaias minor_ will be covered during the count.

*How to participate*
Choose from the short-listed sites given in BNHS website (www.bnhs.org) or
send us details of the site of your preference. Write to us with site
details to flamingocount@xxxxxxxx
*When to visit*
Participants can choose any of the day (23rd – 24th February 2019) or both
the dates. Ideal count time could be around 0700 hours for the inland
sites. Afternoon or evening counts in cases where congregation may depend
upon sea tides.
