The fact still is that even though MeeGo Network Finland is regional/national community, a large amount of our members do not understand Finnish. I have written about this rather odd situation in my blog: http://meego.ajatukseni.net/2010/12/25/bilanguage-community/ I'm still standing behind my words, that any issue that affects whole community should be communicated in English not in Finnish. Otherwise Finnish is fine. By the way, people are getting fine with this language issue at out IRC channel. I can now see both Finnish and English used there fluently. Anyway, the system (portal) will not 'look down' on Finnish written blog entries or other items. Use your own discretion when selecting language. /Jarkko > Siis käyttäkää (myös) sitä suomea, perkele! > > -- > Jarkko Kniivilä < jibun | jkniiv > > FIN-13100 HÄMEENLINNA > > "Panta rhei kai oumen menei" -- Herakleitos > > -- --------------- Community Manager (MNFI, Meego Network Finland) Organizer (TMN, Tampere Meego Network) Email: jarkko dot moilanen at meegonetwork dot fi Location: Tampere, Finland More info: http://meegonetwork.fi Discussions: irc.freenode.net#meego-fi
