Subject: [mccc] The party is on! MCCC Christmas Dinner Party
Hey all,
Just a friendly reminder about this Sunday’s festivities. The party is on and
I reconfirmed everything with Dave, the manager of the restaurant, on Tuesday.
It looks like we will have 21 people there! Most of you know who else is
coming since the replies came to everyone. More details are in the email below
for reference.
Take care and have a jolly good time!
Matt

Subject: MCCC Christmas Dinner Party and More
Are you ready for a December to remember? I know I am. I am actually ready
for 2021 with the hope that the new year brings some relief from this crazy
COVID-19 menace. So, at this time and in lieu of our holding a regular club
meeting, our December activity will be the Christmas Dinner Party on Sunday,
December 13, 2020, 5:00pm at the Santa Fe Cattle Company, 2520 Music Valley
Drive near Opryland. We have reserved the meeting room we usually hold the
monthly club meeting in and they will set up the dining tables to comfortably
and safely accommodate our group. Plan to order off the menu and you will pay
your own bill including gratuity.
Besides the dinner and jovial conversation, we will hold our traditional gift
exchange. In true white elephant style, the gift you select during your turn
can be picked off by others up to two more times before it is safe. Gift value
should be $20 minimum and it should be something you would want to keep
yourself. There will be men’s gifts and ladies gifts. Men wrap red and women
wrap green (suggested).
For planning purposes and so I can notify the restaurant in advance for set-up,
please let me know if you plan to attend and how many will be in your group.
If you reply to this email know that it is a Reply to All situation no matter
what. If you prefer to reply only to me then send a separate email to
mattfeehery@xxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:mattfeehery@xxxxxxxxxxx>.
Thanks to everyone who attended the November meeting. We had a good turnout
and a great time. The slate of MCCC officers presented was voted in by
acclamation. All are returning for a second term with one exception: Charlene
Kittel graciously agreed to serve as Secretary. As follows, your 2021 club
officers will be:
President - Matt Feehery
Vice President - OB Stewart
Treasurer - Randy Miles
Officer At Large - John Hausman
Secretary - Charlene Kittel
If you have a Corvair, drive it. Enjoy the weather while you can. Yesterday
was a beautiful, sunny, cool day, perfect for some rear-engine, air-cooled fun.
I took advantage of the cooperative weather and drove my green Corsa along the
winding roads in the hills south of Nolensville.
Stay safe and stay well: mask up, social distance (I would say “space out” but
that has too many ‘60s & ‘70s connotations!), wash your hands, you know the
rest.
Happy motoring.
Matt
