Meeting Monday, April 19th + Cars and Coffee, Fun Run from Franklin to
Nolensville, Lunch tomorow Reminder: the club meeting is this Monday at Sonic,
2501 Franklin Pike in the Berry Hill area of Nashville. Bring your Corvair
since we can park around the island and visit. Weather is supposed to be just
about perfect. We will talk about upcoming club events and find out who might
be going to SpringFest in Helen, Georgia. Yes, it’s a very last minute
invitation to join me for an unofficial club activity, but if you are in the
mood for doing something with your Corvair tomorrow, join me at Cars and
Coffee, followed by a fun run through winding, curvy, hilly roads to
Nolensville (about 15-20 miles), lunch at Hwy 55 Burgers, and a visit at Matt’s
Garage (a mere 3.7 miles from the restaurant). The weather now looks like it
will cooperate. 8:00-10:00 Meet in the Cool Springs AMC Cinema parking lot
(Frazier St behind the McDonald’s at Mallory and Cool Springs, just off I-65
north of Franklin). You can arrive when you want but I plan to be there around
8:00. Get there by 10:00 if you just want to join for the fun run and
more.10:00-11:00 Fun Run Franklin to Nolensville11:00-12:00 Lunch at Hwy
55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries (in Nolensville)12:00-3:00 Not-so-technical tech
session at Matt’s Garage: bumper swap on two Corvairs plus whatever else comes
up with someone else’s car. If you think you are coming to the Cars & Coffee
please text me and I will save a spot for your car next to mine. This is not
the first Saturday of the month so Cars and Coffee will not be overcrowded.
Off-Saturdays are usually more casual and it’s mostly classic car people. Our
house is located at 6301 Pettus Rd. Those that have time can caravan from the
restaurant to the garage for some tinkering and talking. Hope some of you can
make it. If you can’t, no sweat. We’ll do this again very soon. Happy
motoring! Matt713-249-1074
