Fellow Corvair Enthusiasts,
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2020. I am pleased to be serving the club as
your president. A hearty thank you goes out to Katelyn Hanson for her
leadership and enthusiasm.
Our monthly Music City Corvair Club Meeting is Monday, January 20th at Santa
Fe Cattle Company, 2520 Music Valley Dr. in Nashville (near Opryland).
Dinner is at 6:00pm and the meeting is at 7:00pm.
If anyone is interested in joining me this Saturday, January 4th at
Nashville Cars n' Coffee from 8:00am - 10:00am, please let me know. The
first Saturday is the biggest C&C weekly event of each month, drawing
hundreds of classic and specialty cars along with many locals who want to
see them. When I go I am usually the only person with a Corvair present and
my '66 Corsa always draws interest and attention. The stories it brings out
from people whose family has owned one (or more) are fun to hear. It
generates lots of smiles and thumbs up, too! Drive a Corvair if you can or
just bring the water pumper if you want to see some very cool cars. Cold
won't keep people away but rain might, so check the weather that morning.
The official address for Nashville Cars n' Coffee is 633 Frazier Dr. in
Franklin (exit Cool Springs off I-65 and head west past Mallory Ln. It's in
the parking lot of the AMC Theater complex behind the McDonald's.)
