[MASC] MARINE CONSERVATION EVENT

Hey divers and marine friends of Monash!
I am very keen to organise a talk at Monash Uni that highlights the issues
in marine conservation and also provides the solutions to these problems.
The Australian Marine Conservation Society, the Melbourne Zoo and Monash
are willing to provide speakers. The issues touched on will be: Sustainable
Seafood, plastic pollution, the dredging of the GBR, Marine Response Unit
and perhaps some others.

This year is a very important year for Marine Conservation because this
government has shown no interest in the need to conserve and protect our
natural world and we must fight back. Government do listen to public
opinion if we let ourselves be heard.
At the talk there will also be information on how to get involved and do
your part in marine conservation.

If anyone is interested in helping me organise this event please feel free
to contact me either on Facebook/email or phone! & what I mean by helping
it can be anything to sticking up posters or writing your own speech about
a marine related issue or whatever you’d like to do! :) ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE
WELCOME!! :)
