Just to let everyone know that the repeater is still up and running.

However the output power is very low at this time so you might have a problem
hearing it.
The repeater in all likely hood will hear you since the receiver is working
fine.
We are going to have a Thursday night rag chew session tonight starting at 7:00
PM.
It would be good if as many as possible would try to check in -this way we
would have some idea as to the repeater's useful range in its current condition.
All indications point to a possible lightening strike which may have damaged
both the antenna and duplexers.
We do know that the repeater,itself (ICom F3000) was unharmed and is putting
out close to 50 watts from its transmitter.
At present there are no immediate plans to do any repairs to the repeater
-replacing the duplexers and antenna could run any where from $3,000 - $4,000
Depending on whether a good set of used duplexers were available around $1,600
or if we we had to buy new they could be twice that amount around $3,200
We know that the antenna labor would be around $900.00 from our original
installation.
What we have not researched is the cost of a better commercial grade repeater
antenna which I have heard start in in the neighborhood of $700.00
So that is where things kind of stand at the present time.
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas we would be happy to hear them.
