If you get this twice, my apologies... you are probably on both
marc-announce and marc-members.
This year, MARC will be participating in the Great Utah Shakeout event.
This is a large scale simulation of a high intensity earthquake event
affecting Utah. More details are available on the Shakeout web page

The shakeout this year will be taking place on 21 April 2022. Because of
the shakeout, we will NOT be having a club meeting on the 21st this
month. Our first meeting in May will be a discussion about the results
of the shakeout and what we, as a club, can and should be doing in the
event of an actual earthquake or other natural disaster.

We will use the information from the form to advise the Fire Department
of our availability to assist during the event. At this point, it is
not clear what level of assistance they will require, but we'll figure
that out as the event gets closer. At a minimum, participants should be
ready to communicate on the radio following the MARC eComms protocol
(see https://www.murrayarc.org/radio-resources/ecomms-protocol/ for
details). If possible, you may be asked to relocate to a mustering area
(either the EOC, a local hospital or landmark, or a S.A.F.E.
