Greetings MARC Members and Friends of MARC,
Our own Dan (N7XDL) has advised that on Saturday, December 17th, Salt
Lake County ARES will be sponsoring an antenna building session at 10:00
AM MST at the Murray Library (located at 166 E 5300 S). *Dan needs a
count* of how many people are planning to attend, so *if you're planning
to go, let him know* (if you don't have Dan's contact info, ask me).
It is my understanding that you don't need to bring anything except a
willingness to follow instructions. If you've got a good soldering iron
that you are comfortable with, you might want to bring that, too. The
plan is to build a 2m version of the twin-lead j-pole antenna, but if
you want to build for a different band (like 1.25m), you'll need to know
the appropriate dimensions.
