Greetings, MARC Members and Friends of MARC!
The time has come once again for a meeting at the beautiful Murray Fire
Station #81, located at 4848 S Box Elder St (about 35 W). This meeting
will be on September 9th, 2021, starting at 6:30 PM.
Don't forget the "talk-in" net prior to the meeting on 223.440 MHz
simplex (no tone or offset). We usually start this net at about 6:00
PM, but often people will hang around on frequency for a while, so if
you're running late go ahead and throw out your call when you get a chance.
This meeting is being coordinated by our own Dave C (KI7IHU) and will be
an in depth study of Echolink, including some experimentation and
demos. If you've got a smart phone, you can probably get the Echolink
app for that. Otherwise, bring your laptops and install the Echolink
software!
Unfortunately, I will not be there tomorrow as I have a family event
scheduled. I am, however, going to try (try!) to spin up the Zoom
session (and recording) prior to the meeting and hopefully if Dave has
some slides he can join the Zoom and share them. I'll kick off a
recording, as well, so hopefully we can get this meeting online some
time afterwards.
