Greetings, MARC Members and Friends of MARC,
Once again it is time for our monthly general meeting. You will not
want to miss this one, as our own Ragnar (N7LCR) will be talking about
cooking and ham radio. As you probably know, Ragnar is a professional
chef and an amateur radio operator. I personally can't wait to see how
he is going to tie the two together. As usual, our meeting will be this
Thursday, 17 Feb 2022, and will be at the Murray Fire Station #81,
located at 4848 S Box Elder St (approximately 35 W). The meeting will
be starting at 6:30 PM MST.
Prior to the meeting, we invite people to join us on 146.440 MHz simplex
(no tone or offset) at 6:00 PM for a brief "check-in" net. These nets
typically last less than five minutes and are just for a quick check-in
to make sure we know how to set our radios up for other frequencies and
conditions. Since this is a simplex net, you may be asked to relay for
a distant station or one with limited power in order to make sure
everyone is heard.
