Greetings, MARC Members and Friends of MARC!
Once again, it is time for our monthly club meeting, which will be this
Thursday, 15 September 2022 at 6:30 PM MDT. We will be meeting, as
usual, at the Murray Fire Department station #81, located at 4848 S Box
Elder St (35 W). This meeting will be the second session of our CERT
training as provided by the Murray Fire Department.
NOTE: If you missed the first training session, you will be able to
make it up. The FD will be doing another series next month. I'll get
the details and make sure it is announced at the meeting this week. You
are welcome to join us for the session this week even if you missed last
week!
We will also have a brief "check in" net on the Murray City assigned
simplex 2m frequency, which is 147.600 MHz simplex (no tone or offset)
at 6:00 PM (channel 31 in the standard load). These check in nets
usually go very quickly so don't worry if you miss it (we're usually
done within a couple of minutes of starting). We do these check in nets
to confirm that we are able to program our equipment to access the
assigned frequencies that we will use in an emergency. Please check in
if you can.
