Greetings, MARC Members and Friends of MARC!
Once again, the second Thursday of the month is approaching and we will be
having a meeting of the Murray Amateur Radio Club. This week, the meeting
will be a hands on experimentation with Winlink, so bring your computer(s),
radio(s), cables, adapters, whatever you want to bring and we'll figure out
how to get Winlink working for you. At a minimum, we'll get a Winlink
account set up and get you configured for telnet access. If you have a
Windows machine, we'll use the Winlink Express client, and if you have a
Mac or Linux box we'll do it with Pat. I will be bringing my laptop and
radio so I can show connecting via packet and VARA FM.
The meeting will be at the Murray Fire Department Station #81, located at
4848 S Box Elder St (approximately 35 W) at 6:30 PM MDT on Thursday, 11
August 2022.
Immediately prior to the meeting, we'll have a brief net on 223.440 MHz
simplex (no tone or offset) at 6:00 PM. This "check-in only" net is
typically very short, so if you're not there right at 6:00, you'll probably
miss it.
