Greetings, MARC Members and Friends of MARC!
Once again the time has come for the main monthly general topics meeting
of the Murray Amateur Radio Club (MARC). The meeting will be tomorrow,
Thursday, December 16th 2021 at 6:30 PM MST. We will be meeting at the
Murray Fire Station #81 located at 4848 S Box Elder St (approximately 35
W... that's "35" West, not "35th" West).
I do not have any ideas for a topic for this meeting, so we'll probably
start with a general discussion and see where we go from there. If you
have something you want to present, show off, or talk about, bring it
with you (assuming it has physical form)! I would like to talk briefly
about my proposals for the Murray Amateur Data Network (based on AREDN)
and some other proposals I have been working on and will be welcoming
ideas and suggestions to improve these proposals.
Prior to the meeting, we will be having a brief check-in net on 146.440
MHz simplex (no tone or offset). This will begin at 6:00 PM MST and
will continue until there is no one else checking in. Keep in mind that,
as this is a simplex frequency, people may need to offer to relay if
they can hear a station but everyone else can not.
