Greetings, MARC Members and Friends of MARC,
Thursday is rapidly approaching! This week will be session four of our
CERT training. This week we will be meeting at Murray Fire Department
Station #83. That's station eighty three, NOT station 81. Station 83
is located at 484 W 5900 S, just west of the I-15 freeway. We will be
meeting in the EOC (Emergency Operations Center), which is located
downstairs at the station. We have been instructed to bring gloves and
a headlamp for the practical part of the lesson. Closed toe shoes are
also required. We will start the meeting promptly at 6:30 PM this
Thursday, the 20th of October.
We will still have our check-in net prior to the meeting on the Murray
SAFE Neighborhood frequency, 147.600 MHz simplex, no tone or offset, at
6:00 PM prior to the meeting. This is channel 31 on the standard load.
If you don't know what the standard load is, please check out this link
on the web site: https://www.murrayarc.org/the-standard-load/
As a reminder, if you missed session three of our CERT training, you can
make it up this Tuesday, 18 October, at station 81 at 6:30 PM.
Also, please be aware of the Winlink Thursday this week, which will
coincide with the ShakeOut 2022 on October 20th at 10:20 AM. The
announcement follows this message.
