Attention, MARC Members and Friends of MARC!
YES, we will be meeting TONIGHT, 4 August, at 6:30 PM at Murray Fire
Station #81, located at 4848 S Box Elder St (35 W). We will be
introducing Winlink Express and Pat software for accessing the Winlink
System. If you have heard of Winlink and want to know more, this class
will give you a little intro to some of the software you'll want to be
using, how to set it up, and what it can do. This is a precursor to
next week's class where we will be doing some hands on Winlink activity.
Please also consider joining us at 6:00 PM (immediately prior to the
meeting) on our club repeater, 223.960 MHz with a PL of 103.5, for a
brief check-in net. We like to do these check-in nets to confirm that
we have our radios configured correctly and that we can access the
frequencies we are likely to use in an emergency.
I will be attempting to simulcast the meeting on Zoom, but since I'll be
running it from Linux tonight, there are no guarantees that I will be
successful in delivering working audio. If you can make it in person,
that would probably be best.
