ATTENTION MARC Members and Friends of MARC:
I have been informed that our normal meeting location has been preempted
by CERT for the month of April. Instead of meeting at station 81, we
will instead return to our old haunt at Murray Fire Department Station
#83. If you are having a hard time remembering where this was, Station
83 is located at 484 W 5900 S, which is just West of I-15.
If you are coming from station 81, the easiest way is to go South on Box
Elder St until it intersects with Vine St, then follow Vine as it turns
into Cottonwood St. Continue South over the bridge and past the club
repeater site until you get to 5900 S, then turn right (West). Take
5900 S under the I-15 overpass and you will see station 83 on your
right. If you are coming from the freeway, the easiest option is to
take the 5400 S exit, going East to Commerce Dr (also known as the
frontage road). Take Commerce South to 5900, turn right, go under I-15,
and you'll see the station.
Remember that at station 83, we meet in the EOC, which is downstairs.
If you come in the main doors, continue to the T intersection in the
hallway and turn left. You'll see the stairs on your right. A little
further down the hall is the elevator. Take the stairs or elevator down
to the lower level and you will be right across the hall from the EOC.
If you were planning to attend via Zoom, you luckily don't have to
change anything!
