Many of you will have seen my somewhat exhausted face at the club meeting on
I did manage to make it to the end of the run it was hard towards the end.
Serves me right I suppose for deciding with 1 week to go to run 28km rather
than the 21km I had been training for..!
I made it in just over 4hrs.
Surprisingly I have not felt too bad today but not good enough to consider
doing it again ;-)
I raised the great sum of £925 for Parkinsons UK.
Many thanks to everyone who sponsored me.

Thank you so much to those of you who have sponsored me so far. Im over the
£700 mark now.
The big day is Sunday 5th September and so I have now completed the last
If you want any further encouragement to sponsor me then read on
Last Sunday the organisers of the half marathon decided to move it from
Maidenhead to Dorney Lake.
This is a cold, windy spot and the course is now 4 laps of the very boring
international rowing lake.
I marshalled a 10km there once and that was boring enough I cant imagine
running round it 4 times being lapped by almost everyone else.
I tried to change to the Bracknell ½ Marathon on the same day but they
didnt want me :(
So instead I will be running along the Thames from Henley to Maidenhead.
A much more interesting route with more cafés !
However the distance has gone up from 21km to 28km.
Im sure I will make it just it will take a bit longer.
See you all soon and thanks again.
