BE PART OF THE NEW ROTARY GB&I BOARD

Hi Fiona,

We are writing to you about important upcoming changes to Rotary in Great
Britain and Ireland's structure and governance.

Following changes earlier in the year, we are now beginning the process of
building a new Rotary GB&I Board.

This is an exciting time for Rotary GB&I. With new governance arrangements in
place and a clear strategic direction, we are seeking to nominate and appoint
new members to the Board.

We now need your support and action.

THE ROLES

Chair (plus Elect and Nominee)

A fantastic opportunity to lead Rotary GB&I through a period of change. Under
the Chair's leadership, Board members are collectively responsible for setting
the organisation's strategic direction. More >

General Board Member

Five additional board members will liaise with the specialist advisory teams
that are critical to the future work of Rotary GB&I. More >

Nominating Committee member

This Committee performs a critical role in selecting and nominating the next
Chair of Rotary GB&I, as well as appointing the General Board Members. More >

In Rotary year 2022/23, we will seek invitations for applications for the role
of Rotary GB&I Honorary Treasurer.

OPEN TO ALL

We want to draw on the huge wealth of experience, enthusiasm and diversity that
exists within our organisation. Our greatest asset is members like you, who can
drive change and take the organisation forward.

That is why the new roles are open to everyone who is an active member within
Great Britain and Ireland. Each role has its own person specification and
skills-based requirements that candidates are expected to meet. There is no
requirement to have previously held leadership roles within Rotary at either
district or national level.

MORE INFORMATION AND HOW TO APPLY

We are undertaking the process of nominating and appointing to the new Rotary
GB&I Board over the remainder of 2021. The closing dates for applications is
November 2021.

OUR ACTION PLAN

At the heart of the changes to our governance, is the Rotary GB&I Action Plan.
Based on the four RI strategic objectives, the Plan is a roadmap for the
organisation from 2021-24.

In Great Britain and Ireland, it is important that we harness and adapt the
global Rotary Action Plan, to pave a way forward.
