Meeting at the JELLY Teachers' Library (which has multiple sets of books for
teaching*), top floor of the Baka matnas , Rehov Issaschar 3, Baka,

The evening will begin with;
Free giveaways from our JELLY Teachers' Library ​and an opportunity to see our
collection.​Book swap (bring one and adopt another)JELLY library raffle (lots
of prizes)Show casing all the new books in the JELLY collection with a special
focus on two new sets suitable for all grades from 6-11;Alone on a Wide, Wide
Sea by Michael Murpurgoand The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate
Tasty refreshments will be served.Please bring your colleagues for an inspiring
evening.An RSVP would be appreciated.
The evening will have two presenters;Sharon Binnes is an English teacher at
Reut school. After teaching To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee for many
years, Sharon has gone on to develop a wide approach to teaching Israeli school
students about racism through film, poetry and short stories.
And '​M​eet the ​A​uthor' with Marjorie Gann, co-writer of two books on the
subject of slavery for children and young people. She has spoken at many
schools in the States, Canada and also here in Israel - including a session
planned at the Pelech school. Marjorie will present both of her books, focusing
on ideas for classroom teaching and her handouts will include a teachers'
guide.
