Dear Madrichot,
The British Council and the Ministry of Education have come together to create 
'Routes to Excellence' a teacher training and professional development 
programme.

The objective of the British Council English for Teaching 3 (Proficiency) 
'Train the Lecturer' Summer School 2014 is to train participants to become 
lecturers. Trained lecturers, will receive British Council accreditation to 
deliver the 30 hour British Council course in the Inservice Teacher Training 
Centres (pisgaot) in the 2014/2015 school year.

This 30 hour GMUL course will be delivered over four days in July or August and 
comprises sessions in making workshops effective; Peer observations and Peer 
Feedback; micro-training and content from the English for Teaching 3 course 
which promotes proficiency in the classroom with a communicative methodology.

Course dates:

1, 2, 3, 6 July (in the centre and possibly the south)

August - Dates to be confirmed (in the north)

Applications must be received by 30 April 2014

It is an expectation that those who take part in the course will:

1. Deliver the course at the local pisgah as requested by their inspector

2. Will provide follow up to participants to assist implementation of the 
training

3. Will act as leaders in Continuous Professional Development

4. The course is a British Council developed and branded course that can only 
be delivered under the licensing agreement, signed between the British Council 
and the Ministry of Education, and cannot be delivered anywhere else.

Applicants must:

 - be an English teacher, coordinator or counsellor in a public school

- have an Israeli teaching licence

- have two or more years of teaching experience

- have a high level of English proficiency

- be recommended by their English Inspector

- be willing and able to deliver the British Council 'English for Teaching 3' 
course at a pisga in the next school year
