There is a very old version that was developed for Mac a long time ago, but it is not actively being updated unlike the windows version, so I recommend you use VLC media player available from:
www.videolan.org/vlcit is very accessible with Voiceover. The check boxes are not labeled, but all commands are accessible via the menu bar and they have associated shortcut keys.
