I'd think one of 2 things would happen, if there's a program dedicated to managing the radio, this should indicate the radio has been connected. A device may show up on the desktop as well. Also the first question that comes to my mind is whether or not the radio software is mac compatible, which it seems more and more apps should be these days. if not, than to access the radio, you'll need to investigate running Windows under Parallels, bootcamp, or VM Fusion. there may be other options as well.
