As others have said, you don't need a headset. You can end a call with
a double tap. You don't even have to find the end call button, just
double tapping can do it.

Well, at least if it's a drag on one end or the other, it's better to
have it happen at the end of a call. Like I said, it probably makes
more sense once you have tried it. I guess it's just something I'm
inclined to be cautious about, since I know I'll hardly ever be wearing
headphones.
Cheers,
Donna

The included headset is not *required* to use the IPhone. it is just
easier to answer and end calls when you use it than not. With
practice, I've gotten better at it but I don't get enough calls to
really practice. I can tell you though that ending a call can be a
real drag. What I do is get the speaker to activate, find the end
call and then I can double tap.

Hi all,

As one who doesn't yet have an iphone, the problem is this issue of
requiring a headset. I don't *want to *have to wear a head set to use
this phone. Apple really needs to address this. I was really hot
about getting the iphone, now I'm pulling back. If I can't answer and
end a call unless I'm wearing headphones, this isn't a phone I'm ever
going to buy.
Best,
Donna
