Hi, all!
The other day there was a discussion about whether or not contacts sync from the iphone to the mac, as we all know they sync the other way around. Well, upon careful testing, I've found that the contacts I add directly onto the phone will indeed sync to my mac. Here's how: 1. Go into contacts on the phone either through the phone app or through the contacts app.
2. Find the add button in the upper right-hand corner and tap.
3. Add the name and any appropriate fields, finding the save button in the upper right corner each time.
4. Tap the done button, then check to make sure the contact was added.
Now, for the sync:
1. Attach your iphone to your mac, find it in the sources table, and vo to iphone settings.
2. Interact with the iphone settings area with vo shift down arrow.
3. VO right and find the info tab, then press vo space bar to select it.
4. Continue to vo right and you'll come to the contacts area.
5. Check the box that says sync address book contacts, and select the radio button to Sync all contacts. Both are done with vo space bar.
6. Leave all other checkboxes in this section unchecked.
7. You'll see capacity bar section, then calendars, and right after that will be the sync button. Press vo space bar. Check out your address book on your mac, and your new contact/contacts should be there! FYI, any contacts you add from the Around Me app will also sync to the address book on your mac. Sorry I can't speak for what happens on the pc. Perhaps someone can post directions for that.
Thanks to Patrick for assistance, and hope this helps! Marcy
