[macvoiceover] spelling contact names in the skype table

Hi all, how does one spell individual names in the skype table of
contacts? I tried interacting with the table, but I got dinged at when
trying to vo shift right arrow on a selected name, and vo right
arrowing meerly took me to the next name down, and I thought I had done
this once, to see how a particular name was spelled, but I must be
missing something, and thanks in advance for any assistance.
