This is happening with all new Macs. While frustrating, it isn’t the end of the
world for me. Windows computers don’t do this, and I’m just used to it now.

Hi folks,
We installed a brand new iMac in the shop to day one of the last built before
the new operating system. With every other mac I have ever set down to when
you press the start button you hear a chime of sorts to let you know that the
start up process has begun. But no start up chime with the new iMac.
After calling tech support and accessibility neither one knew why they had
made the change but they did confirm that it was happening on the new iMacs.
We did register a complaint.
Any thoughts?
