Use you're arrows to select the folder. Then, navigate to the save tutton on the right and press that. The File browser works rather like a tree view in windows...a

Hi Ashley,
When I tried this method exactly as you explained, I only got a chime when I pressed enter to select the folder. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?

Hi,
When you are in the save dialog, you normally have 3 things - the sidebar, the popup button and the file browser. What I normally do, when in a save as dialog, is press cmd H to go home or cmd O to go to documents, and then, using my vokeys, find the file browser. This works a bit like a treeview in windows, only thing is you don't need to expand the folder before saving in it. So, for example, if you were saving something in a folder in you're documents folder, ou would press cmd O in the save as dialog to go to documents, and then, in the file browser, you would use your up/down arrow until. you hear voiceover say "name of folder selected" where name of folder is the name of you're folder. Then, just press enter to save. If you want to expand a folder, press you're right arrow, and to collaps, press the left arrow.

Sorry this was a bit of a long-winded message...

Hope this hel.ps,

Ash

Subject: [macvoiceover] saving documents question

Hi group,
When saving a document either in text edit or pages, how do you get voice over to read a complete list of where you can choose to save? I can only get it to read the recent places, the folders (Documents/applications), but I want to be able to choose a folder within my documents folder.
Any suggestions?

Thanks, Nicole>
