Hi, folks, Yesterday I bought a bluetooth keyboard and had an absolute nightmare pairing the device to the computer. When I went into system preferences and keyboard, there was an add bluetooth keyboard button which I pressed. The result was that the new keyboard was found for about three seconds and then the message "no keyboard found" came up. So then I went to system preferences and bluetooth and clicked the add new device button. The result of that was a real nightmare trying to enter the pass code which just wouldn't happen; I kept getting the message "pairing was unsuccessful". To try and make a long story short, the Apple Care person with whom I was working just happened to mention that that particular message didn't remain on the screen for very long and then, by sheer luck, I caught the box before the error message came up and realized that I had to type in the pass code and press enter very quickly before the text field timed out which I managed to do. Before I write to accessibility about this, I need to know if I missed something or could have done something differently to make this process easier. Otherwise, I may have had to return the keyboard since I live alone and have no access to sighted help. Without sighted help how are people coping with this problem. Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks.
